Animal Energy Healing
© Lisa Aston Michael “The future of medicine is frequency” - Albert Einstein All animals have chakra’s and layers of energetic fields outside of the physical body just like humans. We know this also as the “aura". These "fields" are recognised as the etheric physical, mental, emotional and spiritual fields or energy bodies. There are limitless energy fields however in a typical healing session, I focus on these four. Whenever imbalances occur in any of these outer energy bodies or energy "fields", it is highly beneficial to clear them from time to time so as to prevent resulting manifestations in the physical body which can present as anything from skin conditions to organ disease. What energy healing is: Energy healing is gentle and non-invasive, restoring harmony and balance. As energy knows no space or linear time, distance healing is as equally effective as a hands-on treatment. Distance work is connecting with the soul and spirit - an energetic connection. I find this preferential over face to face sessions, due to there sometimes being numerous energies and personality’s present which tends to limit the work I can do and the healing that can be accomplished in the time of a session. Cats, for example, are much more sensitive than other animals so distance healing works better for them. What energy healing is not: Energy healing does not guarantee that a life can be saved, but it can alleviate stress and sometimes pain, that may be being experienced. There are occasions where the miraculous has occurred, but in general the intention is always that the outcome be for the highest good of the animal concerned. In a typical session I will always ask permission from the animal and receive my answer either via dowsing, muscle-testing or psychically. Once I have received permission, I then set the intention to clear the priority blockage. The intention is ALWAYS to release.I will work with everything from clearing and balancing the chakra system - as the chakra’s assimilate life-force energy into the meridians / endocrine system - to sending the frequency of colours, essences and crystals and releasing emotional blocks via the elements (fire/water/air/earth), angels and more, to help your animal companion feel happier and healthier! Sometimes it takes only one session to see an immediate result and other times it may take some weeks for the healing to integrate. It is all dependent on the animal. As animals often mirror us, it’s not at all unusual for domestic animals to take on their human’s issues. Many times during a session, information will come forward from an animal regarding issues concerning their person. Energy Healing can assist with: Urinating issues, pain relief, abandonment, diabetes, vomiting, colic, extreme fear, concerns of the heart, skin issues, colic, living in un-natural environments, abuse, euthanasia decisions, releasing of long-held negative emotions, reduction of anxiety and depression, and so much more. Okay. I openly admit it. I am THEE worst blogger on the face of the planet. I have no idea why! It's not like there's a shortage of things to talk about... particularly when the topic is open to things spiritual, animal or love! But yet, I manage to avoid blogging like the plague. Perhaps it's just not my 'thing'.
Anyway, enough about me. Almost. I have a note. That's the title of this blog. For the past 2 months (here comes the excuse)... I have been attending two masterclasses. One of the Chakra system and the other on The Sacred Art of Mediumship. Both of these classes have been intense, incredible and paradigm shifting. Both are about healing, recognition of the mind/body/spirit and both have required expanded consciousness on a daily basis. When you arrive at the understanding (I prefer the word knowledge here) that we are indeed a) Spiritual AND physical beings b) Are all indeed connected and c) We are ALL psychic beings, then it becomes painfully apparent just how asleep the species of humanity really is. What also becomes painfully apparent, is the acknowledgement that we have created this current world not necessarily by our actions alone, but by our THINKING! Yes, THOUGHTS ARE REAL. THOUGHTS ARE ENERGY. And as anyone who has had a lesson or two in physics will know, ENERGY IS MATTER. MATTER IS FORM. Hence our thoughts have created the mess we now find ourselves having to frantically scramble to fix. Yesterday I watched a video from Anita Moorjani. Anita is internationally recognised as having died from Stage 4 cancer, finding herself in spirit and told she must return. She did. To perfect health. Anita rarely gives her opinion on anything, but rather chooses to use her time and experience to encourage, uplift and comfort others. HOWEVER... yesterday's video on 'Forgiveness' was a bit of a shock to me as toward the end of her teaching she was absolutely crystal clear on guiding us to the understanding that the world's governments and politicians were a 'joke' and designed to divide and conquer. She went on to encourage us to LISTEN to one another, regardless of race, political perspectives, religious bents, sexual orientations or anything else. THIS, she feels, is the solution. I tend to agree with her 1,000% So how do we now do this? How after years of programmed racial distaste, religious conflict and sexual discrimination do we let go of all of that and absolutely, unequivocally ACCEPT each other. Warts and all. We need to find an answer and we need to find it fast because ACCEPTANCE is the answer. It won't go down without a fight, I know that and you do too, but our choices aren't great. The good news is, we have it in ourselves to do this. Just by starting with one issue we wrestle with. One that seems to challenge us. Perhaps it is the gay couple next door who you've always distanced yourself from. What if you started by saying 'hi'? Try it. You might be pleasantly surprised at how expanded you feel. I'll leave you with this little piece of advice from John Lennon. LOVE IS THE ANSWER. Have a blessed week. Love and hugs, Lisa x Where the heck did July go??? Just looking at my archived blogs I noticed there is no July blog. Given we're now in the midst of August, let's just for argument's sake consider this the July/August blog :)
So... moving on. Some years ago I hosted a podcast show titled 'Reiki by Lisa'. On this show I was blessed to have connected and spoken with some of the most knowledgeable people in the animal world at that time. Amongst them was Leif Cocks (The Orangutan Project), Rose De Dan (Wild Reiki and Shamanic Healing), Kathy Munslow (Gunyah Animal Healing Sanctuary) and many, MANY more. Although each guest offered incredible insight into his or her knowledge of their respective field, one particular conversation stuck with me and still challenges me to this day. That conversation was with Zoo-keeper Penny Cooper who at the time had just returned home from her position as carer of the Giant Panda's at Zoo Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. Penny had a great deal of experience in Australia having worked at the most respected of zoo's here, including Melbourne Zoo, Taronga Zoo (Sydney) and Perth Zoo. Penny's care-taking experience included Cheetah's, Gorilla's and many of our Australian marsupials. In our conversation, we glossed over the "concept" of Animal Communication. At that time, AC was very much in the foetal stage here in Australia with perhaps one or two recognisable active communicators at best. I always believed in this field of connection, however Penny put forward that we should not 'anthropomorphise' animals, as 'that's where the trouble lay." We discussed this further but the twain did not meet. Wikipedia describes Anthropomorphism as follows: Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions or intentions to non-human entities. It is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology. What is Animal Communication then? What it is NOT is the attribution of human traits, emotions or intentions to non-human entities. As an Animal Communicator myself and I'm 1000% convinced that every other AC will agree with me, I can attest that animals have their own traits, emotions and intentions quite separate from human entities. So was Penny correct? Is Anthropomorphism in fact where the trouble does lay? Perhaps if we are in fact projecting our own thoughts and our own emotions onto an animal perceiving it as THEIR thoughts and intentions, then she may well be correct. Science is now 'discovering' (it's been a fact since time immortal) that animals in fact DO possess intelligence, construct, mathematical ability, telepathy, empathy, sensitivity, psychic ability and healing abilities. Is there still a place for anthropomorphism? Perhaps; but as we learn more about our kindred earthlings, the truth of one connection, one world is no longer a dream and vision, but a functioning reality. Have a great month everyone! Cheers, Lisa As we near the end of the month of June, I have to admit it has been one incredible month of learning.
A few months ago I found myself signing up to a Masterclass with the incredible Dr. Cara Gubbins (Marine Biologist and Animal Communicator) to learn first hand with her the steep climb to honing animal communication skills. Now I already had these skills but it was very hit and miss. I was just 'opening up' and 'hoping for the best' without actually knowing what I was doing. Kind of like giving the keys to a car to someone who has never driven before and saying "good luck!". Without guidance you'll probably work it out but there's no accounting for professional mentorship. What I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt is this. Animals DO speak to us all the time and it is true to the core that we simply do not know how to LISTEN. Of course it's wonderful to know what they are saying / wanting / expressing but now of course I am acutely aware of the fact that most people are desperately wanting to help their animals and connect with them, but simply do not know how. So I'm going to give you give you the first step in Animal Communication. So let's start with the basics: GROUNDING! When you're all over the place like a frenzied bacterial attack, there is no way you can connect or communicate with anything. Start by taking three deep breaths; releasing the past, any future concerns and then breathing in the present. The first step is to ground yourself in whatever way works for you. Me, I send a grounding cord from my base chakra point (the perineum) down through the layers of the earth until I reach the centre where I then ground my cord by rolling a big ball of crystal right over the top of it. When your thoughts begin to ramble on, don't try and shut them out, but rather let them come, and view them floating by like clouds. Practice this for a few minutes daily and note how this may affect your attitude toward things throughout the day. Have a great week and you can now find me listed on the IICT (International Institute for Complementary Therapists) directory HERE Love and blessings, Lisa xx Internationally renowned ‘Pet Psychic’ Amanda De Warren and I crossed paths some 8 years ago when we were both invited to show our wears outside a holistic pet food store on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia: Amanda focussing on animal psychic connection and me on Reiki for dogs. I remember thinking at the time what a huge responsibility it was for Amanda to place herself as the ‘messenger’ between animals and their carers. For me, Reiki was a safe place to come from as although I was also working with an animals energy, it didn’t quite step into the world of providing messages et al; not to the degree that Amanda was working with. I thought she was very brave.
Energy is energy and predictably over time my unfolding understanding of ‘oneness’ resulted in the ability to indeed communicate with animals. Mostly hit and miss at first but as animals guided their carers to me (and yes, this is how it happens folks!), I discovered that the connections were becoming clearer and it was more about me listening to their language and how they communicated rather than relying on my skills as a human to human communicator! Animals are extremely succinct. They don’t babble on searching for the right words as we do, they simply state what is what. It’s a mistake though to assume that animals have been living their lives in anticipation that we will finally ‘hear’ them and be able to solve all the worlds problems. That’s not to say they don’t have a powerful message for us, but they’re not waiting for us to be their solution. They’re waiting for us to be OUR solution. Through my experiences with connecting with horses, cats, dogs, lizards, birds, spiders, dragon-flies and yes, even flies!, I have come to understand that they all have a lesson to teach us. Here is one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned: Animals do not always want to talk to us! They don’t always want to be ‘sorted out’ and sometimes when they are lost, they do not want to be found. This is a bitter pill to swallow when a client comes hoping for their lost animal to be located. There are myriad reasons why they may choose this. They may not have been happy where they were, they may feel their presence is more necessary elsewhere and in the case of many rescues, they simply just want to move forward in their lives rather than dwell in the past. Animals are very much in the present moment in every way. I noticed a while ago that Amanda no longer ‘does lost animals’. I now understand why. There is so much emotion when a pet goes missing. It can be devastating and the overwhelming emotion from the pet-carer can sometimes inadvertently block any clear messages coming from the pet. To be able to clearly receive, we as animal communicators must be in a space of calm centred-ness and be totally grounded. This can be extremely challenging when the understandably constant panicked energy of the pet parent is over-riding any possible clarity of connection. And then there is also the powerful energy of denial should the findings from connection be deemed negative one’s. Sometimes we simply don’t have the answers; because they are not given to us. These are the moments when we need to remember that there is a higher overview to everything and what we believe is the ‘best outcome’ may in fact not be at all in the long-run. If I find myself in this situation, I do not hesitate to call upon my Spirit Guides and Angels to protect the lost animal on it’s journey home… wherever that home may be. Love and blessings, Lisa x Hi everyone! I trust you've all had a safe and happy easter. In this blog, I'm so happy to share a wonderful article written by my dear friend and doggy foster carer Dalitta Wright. Rescue dogs more than often come with a range of issues from the emotional to the physical. Here in this article, Dalitta shares with us the essential oils she used that made a profound difference to this beautiful bulldog. If you are interested in giving Trigger a forever home, please contact Mini's Bulldog Rescue Club by clicking HERE If you would like to share your therapy experience, please do message me at m.me/animalhealingpractitioner "We recently discovered the world of dog fostering – doing our bit to improve the health and well-being of, and re-socialise and share loads of love with bulldogs that have had some life experience that has landed them in the pound. The dogs we have had experience with have been amazing and have responded so well to good raw food, loads of love and a few family boundaries.
Our most recent pound puppy (almost 40kg of him) is Trigger. Trigger came to us from Central Queensland. Being a white American Bulldog, he had extensive sun damage and unfortunately very severe and chronic infections of his ears and head area. Amazingly his body was generally unscathed. From the moment we picked Trigger up from the Melbourne Airport, I used therapeutic grade essential oils on him. Lavender is the go-to oil with all my animals (and humans). It can assist with so many things and I don’t have the space to mention them all. The most important one when fostering dogs is it’s calming and relaxing capabilities. With the assistance of antibiotics from the Vets, we managed to get the infection under control. The after effects of the infection and sun damage is very bad scarring. One day soon Trigger will be heading to his forever home. After a little bit of work, we can guarantee he is an absolute gentleman and will be the perfect companion for pretty much anyone who wants the love of a large loving dog. But he was battle-scarred and in this world of image we wanted to see if essential oils would help to reduce the scarring in his ears and across his head. The mixture I trialled on Trigger’s scarring is lavender, helichrysum and frankincense mixed in a fractionated coconut oil base. Lavender, known for its’ calming, relaxing and balancing tendencies – both emotionally and physically – is a natural antiseptic and can assist to reduce any remaining inflammation and fungus. Helichrysum is an anaesthetic and antiviral and may assist nerve regeneration. It is commonly used to manage skin conditions including eczema and scar tissue. Frankincense, used to treat every known ailment to mankind in ancient times can be used to assist treatment of depression, cancer, respiratory infections, inflammation and stimulates immunity. The pictures below were taken 18 days apart – I am by no means consistent when it comes to rubbing the oil on – sometimes I do it twice a day and sometimes it may be a couple of days between applications. Also are the before and after photo's of Trigger when he first came into Dalitta's care. I am very happy with the results so far and I have been using essential oils on my family and animals for more than ten years. Essential oils never cease to amaze me! Dalitta Wright Everything old is new again. Never a truer saying was said. Go back sometime to the recent 2000’s and you rarely heard about Animal Communicators outside of the movie ‘Dr. Doolittle’. Nowadays it seems that there are many folk to label themselves animal Communicators.
I have experienced the real deal and I have also experienced the charlatans. The beauty of this particular type of field of animal work is that it is easy to detect the wood from the trees. Animals are so adept at reading us and can tell long before the rest of us humans, who is the real deal and who is not. Some time ago I was a guest attendee at an event where my music was being utilized. At this particular event was a guest Animal Communicator who was by all accounts, fairly well known and well respected around the place. I was keen to see and hear what this fellow had to share. Out came one of the carers with a Koala patient who clearly did not want to be there. He was unwell but for the sake of the demonstration, there he was. The Animal Communicator started talking about this little fellow and how he could connect with him to find out what had happened. As he reached out his arms, the Koala hissed and scratched at him. The guest’s response? That the Koala had probably smelled his dogs on him and had gotten confused. This led me to the obvious. I thought “So you’re telling me this Koala can’t tell the difference between you and a pack of dogs?” I lost a bit of confidence in him at that point. However, having shared that particular story, I have also encountered some amazing animal communicators such as Anna Breytenbach, Val Heart and Christine Noble Seller and others whose results speak for them. Animal Communication is a bit of a misnomer. It should just be termed ‘Open Communication with all beings’ if it requires a title at all. The thing is, we have always communicated with each other. It’s just that we as humans have forgotten how to listen and somewhere along the line we decided we were the master and they were the slaves with no voice, no intelligence and no say in how, where or when their lives are lived. Fortunately things are changing – dramatically – and not only are people changing their eating habits, but they are changing their attitudes. No longer are they ‘dumb animals’. No longer are people standing idly by and saying nothing when they know of a cruelty case. No longer are people – good people – tolerating the ill-treatment of animals. Thank God people are finally speaking up. So back to Animal Communication. More and more folk are interested in this possibility. Yes, it is a possibility for ALL people because we are inherently intuitive, we are inherently telepathic and this is the method by which animals communicate. Their various assortments of vocal sounds are simply variations of their emotional responses. Connection is made through the heart chakra, not with the mind, although the mind does play a part in the overall picture. Remember when you were just a little kid and you played with the neighbourhood dog or caught tadpoles in the local creek? Remember how you viewed them? They were just beings who looked different to us. Remember saving that bloated little upside-down goldfish that everybody else wanted to flush down the toilet? You were most probably tuned into that little fish who didn’t quite want to die because somebody had over-fed him through a gentle blend of love and irresponsibility. You were communicating with that little fish back then without a thought in the world. As we enter a new age and a new level of spiritual awakening, we are feeling an intense magnetism to re-connect with our animal friends and fortunately there are genuine people who can teach us how to find our way back to where we once were. All communicating openly. And so it shall be. Hi and welcome to my first blog in the SPIRIT GUIDED series.
I am so excited to be able to share my skills and knowledge with you and hopefully present you with a better understanding of what I do and how I do it! In my first blog here, I walk you through intuition, psychic ability and animal communication. I do hope you enjoy it and thank you for visiting my site. Love and blessings, Lisa xx All of us of course are intuitive beings. If you ever doubt that, think back to a time when you may have been walking down a dark street and had a ‘feeling’ that you should probably walk just that bit quicker. That is your INTUITION guiding you and generating a healthy FEAR for your own PROTECTION. Intuition guides us in many ways. Not only to protect us, but to lead us to our best potential. In other words; to our life purpose. BEING an intuitive presents itself outwardly as having skills as that of a psychic, a medium or a prophet. There are essentially four basic types of psychics – clairvoyant (seeing), clairaudient (hearing) clairsentient (feeling) and claircognisant (knowing). Then there are mediums who communicate directly with Spirit and those who have crossed over. And then there are prophets, who are of a biblical source. The difference between a psychic and a prophet is that a psychic can “see it” but a prophet can CHANGE it. The bible is full of prophets and there are many about in our modern day society. I come under the category of Psychic Claircognizant. Spirit uses me as a vessel through which information is given for others for their highest good. It is communicated through a blend of telepathy, compassion, higher knowledge, encouragement, comfort, direction and SYMBOLIC COMMUNICATION, which leads us to our topic: So what is SYMBOLIC COMMUNICATION? Symbolic communication is when messages are presented to you via pictures, objects, places, scenes, animals and sometimes smells. In my practice as a psychic reader, symbols make up the majority of my communication work. When I first started my practice I would get so confused, but over time and through sheer repetition, I came to understand what these symbols meant. Here are some examples of symbolic communication from Spirit: When I am reading a client and I am shown a bunch of roses for instance, that can of course indicate love, but more often than not it has shown itself to mean death past. Those on the other side seem to like to show roses to indicate that the clients' loved one on the other side is with them and is now shining as pure love on the other side. It’s a beautiful symbol and tends to invoke deep emotion and immediate connection for my client. Once the connection is established, conversation and communication takes place via messages and further symbols. One of the most beautiful symbols I have received is that of a little one. I was shown tiny lights flickering all around and as I spoke with my client it was indeed revealed that she had lost a child through miscarriage. Although this was emotionally difficult for my client to hear, it was at the same time comforting, knowing her little one was always around her and was pure, bright light with God. Daisy’s showing up, tend to represent Grandmothers. I have also found that when daisy’s show up, it is indicative of the countryside and often telling that the client or client’s family have lived or still do live on a farm. In health terms, if a client is suffering a health issue in a certain area, I am often shown food. Apples indicate a better general diet is needed. Water is shown to me when the kidneys and/or liver need a bit of a clean-out. Tomatoes and beets are shown when there is a potential heart issue. The colour yellow is shown to me when there are issues with the ear, nose or throat and I experience slight tingling in my legs and feet if my client is experiencing back issues, feet issues or problems with their sciatic nerve. Our external circumstances also present as symbols. Old stone homes symbolize stability and family bonds. New houses symbolize freshness but often unstable and unsettling time for its residents. Horse and cart appears when someone is about to go back home to their roots and in context, water appears in its various forms when emotional changes are taking place. Depending on the degree of the water symbol, emotional change can be slight or it can be indicative of a major upheaval about to occur. Animals appear often as symbols in readings. Domestic pets tend to come along with the client and their symbolic communication involves happy faces and interestingly, lights! When an animal appears and I sit with it, it shows me the energy in the client’s household by the dimness or brightness of lights in that house. This is their way of sharing what the client may need to alter in terms of energy in their household. Not only do domestic animals turn up! With one client I saw a giraffe standing over her. The giraffe presented itself as a message for my client to “see the big picture”… to “look beyond what is right in front of you”. She resonated with that message and told me she had 3 large carved giraffe’s at the entrance of her home! Lions present as symbols when someone needs courage, horses present themselves when someone needs to free themselves from a trapped existence, dogs show up when someone needs love and comfort, snakes turn up when someone is transmuting or about to experience great change and new beginnings, crocodiles show up when someone is being warned that not everything is as it seems around them and butterfly shows up when the lesson has been learned and you’ve ‘earned your wings’. Animal communication is all about symbols. I can no more understand ‘bark’ than I can Cantonese, but I can clearly understand the symbols that animals share with me. Animals work with physical symbols also. For example when sending Distance Reiki to an animal I have not physically met, it is not unusual for me to experience physical pain in a particular area in my own body only to find from the pet parent that that is indeed what their animal is going through. This also happens for emotions. I have felt tremendous sadness, loneliness, fear, joy, past experiences and excitement that the animal wanted to share with its carer. My own dogs have me well trained! When my eldest k9 kid Anika wants to go for a walk, she places the whole walkway scene in my head. There’s no denying it! I turn around and there she is; sitting there “willing” me to go! I am choice-less as I can’t deny that I know what she wants; she KNOWS I KNOW! I hope you have enjoyed my sharing of just some of the symbolic communication that I work with in my practices of both psychic readings and Reiki and if you have any questions or would like to share your own experiences, I would love to hear from you! Until next time, Take care and blessings to you all. Lisa x |
